Jubilee Loves… Our Customers!

We love our customers!  Well, obviously we love our customers — we wouldn’t be in business without you!  But it’s fun to see what happens to our homespun fabrics after they leave our shelves.  You guys are so creative!
Here are two ways customers are using Jubilee Fabrics in their own businesses:

Renee uses our homespun fabrics to make beautiful handmade rag wreaths in her beach-side home.  Her wreaths come in a variety of colors and styles — each one is unique and would be a striking addition to any front door.

You can view more of Renee’s Rag Wreaths in her Etsy store, RagWreathBoutique.  She’s got several Autumn inspired wreaths if you’re looking for a quick fix for your front door this Fall.

One of our newer customers with a unique product is Dandy’s — The Gentleman’s Store. In their own words, Dandy’s is “a haberdashery that creates custom made, turn of the century inspired gentleman’s garb — specializing in 1870′s-1930s men’s suiting.”

I had to google “haberdashery” and learned that a “haberdasher” is someone who deals in men’s clothing and accessories.  And now I’ve added a new word to my vocabulary!

Husband and wife team, Christopher and Wendy, dreamed up the idea for Dandy’s while planning their wedding in 2009.  They now have a wide selection of dandy items on their dandysuit website.  Check it out!  It’s a unique, interesting site to browse!  You can find some Jubilee Homespun Fabrics as options for their dandy shirts.

Now you know what two of our customers do with Jubilee Fabrics — what’s YOUR favorite thing to make with homespun fabric?

Jubilee Loves… Saving Grace, Inc.

Your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundation of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach; the restorer of streets to dwell in.”  Isaiah 58:12

Jubilee Creative Studio is proud to support Saving Grace, Inc in Rogers, AR.  Saving Grace is “a Christ-centered safe harbor offering acceptance, restoration, and hope to young women of Northwest Arkansas, preparing them for independent living.”  Young women who have graduated out of the foster care system or for whom independent living is not currently possible can find supportive relationships and life education at Saving Grace.
In their own words, Saving Grace exists “to help these young women unlock doors of opportunity, security and hope through transitional living, independent living education, educational assistance, and supportive relationships.  More importantly, we encourage these young women to deepen their faith, strengthen their resolve and learn to trust others–hopefully in response to a relationship with a trustworthy Saviour.  We hope that in our endeavors to bring hope to our community that we will challenge other communities across our nation to “repair the breach and restore the streets.”"

“Repair the breach and restore the streets” — a mission we should all strive to achieve.  Saving Grace is saving lives and promising Hope to young women who desperately need it.  We are proud to be a supporter of this ministry.  Visit their website to learn more about what they do and how you can get involved.  And check out their blog, The Beauty of Saving Grace, for stories of how God is using Saving Grace to change the lives of young women in Northwest Arkansas.

Jubilee Rhinestones at the Olympics!

Jubilee Creative Studio was proud to help a community in Texas support their own Olympic athlete, Savannah Vinsant.  Savannah is competing in the Trampoline events at the 2012 London Olympics.  Her family, friends, and community showed their support for Savannah by creating shirts embellished with a custom iron on rhinestone transfer.  They even made her a personalized bag to carry to the Olympics using our design!  We were so excited to play a small role in someone’s Olympic journey.  Jubilee Rhinestones provides quick and easy customizable designs as well as fully custom design work to our customers.  Our in-house graphic designer will work with you to create exactly the look you want.  Savannah’s trampoline event starts at 8am (U.S. Central Time) Saturday, Aug 4th.  Check your local television listings to see if her event will air in your hometown. Go Savannah!  Go Team USA!  Go Olympics!!

Jubilee Loves…. The Titus Task

It is a core value for us at Jubilee Creative Studio to bless and be a blessing.  We have been abundantly blessed and view it as our responsibility to bless others in turn.  We will occasionally highlight an organization, business, or group that we love because we feel they share our “to bless and be a blessing” convictions.

Jubilee Loves…. The Titus Task

Sometimes great tragedy can spark a great mission.  For the Tugwell family, the death of the 9-month-old son they were hoping to adopt from Haiti stirred a desire to do something to help orphans in Haiti and all over the world.  The Titus Task, named after the son they never got to bring home, is a non-profit organization dedicated to “pursuing a future for orphans.”

The Titus Task shares a hometown with Jubilee Creative Studio and we love the amazing work they have done for families seeking to adopt and orphans seeking families.  The founders of The Titus Task, Noel and Lori Tugwell, have a special place in their heart for orphans and have adopted two boys from Haiti and two girls from China.  Their beautiful family is a testament to the amazing things God can do when we let Him direct our paths.

Donations to The Titus Task are used in three ways: to support local families who are in the process of adopting, to provide necessary aid to orphans worldwide, and to support an orphanage in Haiti.  Read all about the Tugwell family and The Titus Task on their website and remember to pray for them and for orphans all over the world.

Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself unstained by the world.  James 1:27
